5 Notable Celebrities in the WWE Hall of Fame

While the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) does not have a physical Hall of Fame, every year April they induct a handful of folks into their Hall of Fame. The majority of the inductees are actual wrestlers, but each year there is a celebrity inductee as well.

These five well-known celebrities are proud members of the WWE Hall of Fame, because of a variety of cameos they made over the years.

Donald Trump

Yes, the former President of the United States is also a WWE Hall of Famer, and is the only one in the world to hold that distinction.

At Wrestlemania 23, in 2007, Trump was a key part of a story labeled “Battle of the Billionaires” along with WWE chairman Vince McMahon. The idea was that each billionaire selected a wrestler to represent them in a match and the loser billionaire would have their head shaved.

Bobby Lashley (who 14 years later enters Wrestlemania 37 this weekend as World Champion) represented Trump, while Umaga (who sadly passed away two years later) represented McMahon. The very well-known Stone Cold Steve Austin was the special guest referee referee.

The match ended with Trump’s guy winning, and therefore, McMahon was forced to shave his head. After the match, Austin gave Trump one of his famous Stone Cold Stunners. It was one of the worst Stunners of all-time.

Mike Tyson

The baddest man on the planet.

Before Tyson became a hit movie star in The Hangover trio or before he appeared on HBO’s Entourage as a client of Ari Gold, Tyson was the greatest boxer in the world. During his heyday, Tyson was involved with Degeneration-X, mostly with Triple H and Shawn Michaels, as the latter prepared for a WWE Title match at Wrestlemania 14 against Stone Cold.

Tyson joined DX and they had him inserted as the special guest enforcer outside the ring. He got involved at the end, after Austin hit a Stunner on Michaels and Tyson counted the 1-2-3, and raising Austin’s hand and handing him the title.

After the match, Tyson knocked out Michaels with his famous right hand.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop D-o-double G has had a few cameos on WWE.

Most recently, Snoop Dogg escorted his real life cousin Sasha Banks to the ring to a remixed version of her theme song, which is the song she now actively uses.

At Wrestlemania 37, Sasha Banks will use this theme as she enters the ring as Women’s Champion on Smackdown and will defend her title against Bianca Belair.

Pete Rose

Just to be sure we are on the same page – Pete Rose, one of the greatest hitters in Major League Baseball history and a Cincinnati Reds legend, is NOT allowed in the MLB Hall of Fame for gambling reasons. But, he IS in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Rose had a long time rivalry with Kane, who is currently the Mayor of Knox County in Tennessee and also being inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the 2021 class.

Kid Rock

Kid Rock’s music has been a fixture in WWE for a long time. Whether his songs were used to hype up matches or whether they were used when wrestlers entered the ring. At one point in his career, The Undertaker dropped “the deadman” gimmick and became an badass biker. During that time, he entered the ring to Kid Rock’s American Badass.

Kid Rock performed a 10 minute concert at Wrestlemania 25.

He also had multiple songs that were key parts of WWE TV. For example, “Lonely Road of Faith” was used in a montage for Shawn Michaels during his retirement ceremony.

Mike is an alum of the University of Cincinnati and the ultimate sports nerd.
