History of Kliff Kingsbury and QBs

2018 Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray was drafted first overall by the Arizona Cardinals and will begin his professional career playing for first year head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

While 2019 will be Kingsbury’s first in the NFL, he does have 6 years as a college head coach and years as an assistant as well. In those years he has a reputation for developing air raid, gun-slinging, video game-type quarterbacks.

2019 NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes played his college ball at Texas Tech, under Kingsbury. Johnny Manziel played for Kingsbury when he was an Offensive Coordinator at Texas A&M. And Baker Mayfield spent one year with the young coach as well.

The numbers these quarterbacks have put up is absolutely staggering. You might struggle to top these numbers in a video game.

Let’s look at Kliff Kingsbury’s history of working with quarterbacks in college as both a head coach and an Offensive Coordinator.
