THANKSGIVING DAY GAMES:
Bears vs Lions
The Bears have been looking great! Mitchell Trubisky is actually looking like a NFL quarterback and their defense is terrorizing offenses. The Lions somehow managed to win last week due in part to the stupidity of Panther’s coach Ron Rivera going for 2 rather than forcing OT. I don’t believe the Lions get that lucky this week. This week the Bears will be the ones feasting.
Redskins vs Cowboys
What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than to watch Redskins vs Cowboys? The Cowboys are on a 2 game winning streak! Yes, a winning streak!! Their first since 2016. The Redskins just got hit by the injury bug again when we saw Alex Smith’s leg go in several directions. The Cowboys will win because the Redskins are just too outmanned and Colt McCoy will not be able to get the job done.
Falcons vs Saints
The Saints look to be the best team in the league and have won every game since their Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers (how did that happen??). They are clicking on both sides of the ball and these games are usually played closely, but this go round, I think the Saints will win by 2+ touchdowns.
Bucs vs 49ers
I think the Buccaneers offense will be too much for the 49ers. Jameis Winston is back in the lineup for the Bucs and as long as he stays interception-free the Bucs passing offense should keep rolling. The Niners will be able to get some stops but they simply won’t be able to score enough to win this game.
Patriots vs Jets
In the Patriots last game, they got embarrassed by the Tennessee Titans. Thankfully for them, their next opponent is the New York Jets and it’s November. Tom Brady does not lose games late in the season or lose to the New York Jets.
Giants vs Eagles
Upset of the week right here! This is the Super Bowl for the Giants this season and what better way than to put a nail in the coffin for the Eagle’s season. Plus my friends were saying the Giants are running the table, finishing 9-7, squeeze into the playoffs and win the Super Bowl just like their last two. Can’t fight that logic.
Ravens vs Raiders
The Raiders are another team I couldn’t believe actually won last week. Main reason being why? Only hurts their picks next year. The Ravens finally got back on the winning side with Lamar Jackson running all over the Bengals last week. I expect the same this week against the Raiders.
Bills vs Jaguars
The Bills are bad, but they play tough. They want to show they can win games. The Jaguars are definitely the better team, but man they can’t win a game if their life depended on it right now. The Bills find a way to stick around, thanks to turnover prone Blake Bortles and win with a late field goal.
Panthers vs Seahawks
The Panthers have now lost 2 in a row. They need a win here to stay in the wild card lead, otherwise the suddenly surging Seahawks will take their spot. Home field should give them a slight advantage and help them to win this crucial game.
Browns vs Bengals
Give me them fighting Browns!! The Bengals have lost 2 in a row and the Browns won their last game before their bye. I think they come out of the bye rejuvenated and win this big rivalry game.
Chargers vs Cardinals
The Chargers got upset last week by the Broncos. This week they will look to bounce back against the Cardinals, who just lost to the Raiders somehow. Philip Rivers and Melvin Gordon will get the ship right and keep hold of the top wild card spot for LA.
Colts vs Dolphins
The Colts have a defense! And more importantly an offensive line that is doing an amazing job affording Andrew Luck all day to throw and more important keeping him upright. They have 3 running backs providing a ground attack while Luck has been spreading the ball around to various receivers and tight ends.
Steelers vs Broncos
The Steelers stole one last week down in Jacksonville. They won’t be able to play as sloppy against the Broncos. But I expect that they will fix their issues and prove to be able to score too many points for the Broncos to keep up.
Packers vs Vikings
This is it for the Packers – do-or-die. Aaron Rodgers doesn’t go down without a fight and I am just going to say just “relax” to the Packers fans at least for another week.
Texans vs Titans
The Texans have been winning games one way or another. The Titans are banged up once again and Marcus Mariota won’t be 100% (and may not even play). Give me the Texans at home on Monday Night Football to win their 8th straight game, following their 0-3 start.
