For the season, I am picking winners straight up with 60% accuracy.

Before jumping into my week 8 predictions, here are 5 bold predictions for the week:

  • Packers go into Foxborough and beat the Patriots!
  • Amari Cooper welcomes the “STAR” on his helmet with 125+ receiving yards on MNF
  • Alvin Kamara & Todd Gurley will surpass 400 total yards in the Rams/Saints game
  • Demaryius Thomas will score twice in his first game with the Texans against the Broncos
  • Cam Newton accounts for 5 touchdowns against the Bucs

Now for my week 9 picks:

49ers vs Raiders

San Francisco is trying to prove they can win games while the Raiders are ready for Las Vegas. I think the Niners defense will be able to get more stops than the Raiders which will lead them to a victory on Thursday Night

Pick: 49ers

Ravens vs Steelers

Ravens needs a win badly! And already beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh this year. This is a rivalry game that gets the Ravens back on track and the offense revived

Pick: Ravens

Falcons vs Redskins

The question will be can the Falcons slow down the 33 year old Adrian Peterson who looks like he has wound the clock back. Probably not, but I don’t think the Redskins will be able to stop the Falcons either. I think this one will be a shoot-out with Atlanta finally winning a game that comes down to the wire.

Pick: Falcons

Dolphins vs Jets

This is a game of two teams who were not expected to do much, started the season off better than anyone expected and now reality is settling in. I’m going to side with the home team here and who happens to have more play-makers as well.

Pick: Dolphins

Vikings vs Lions

The Vikings lost a bad one last week at home against the Saints. Good thing for them is the Lions come to town this weekend. Matthew Stafford is good, but he is no Drew Brees. The Vikings will simply be too much on both sides of the ball for the Lions. Cousins will have a very big game.

Pick: Vikings

Chiefs vs Browns

Browns just fired their head coach and offensive coordinator. The Chiefs continue to plow through all defense they come against and their defense is starting to look like they can actually play defense. The Chiefs just have too many weapons and fire power for the Browns to keep up, but that can be said for most of the NFL.

Pick: Chiefs

Texans vs Broncos

Revenge game for Demaryius Thomas comes to town in his first week as a Houston Texan. The Texans have now won 5 in a row and have added Thomas as their #2 following Will Fuller going down for the year. JJ Watt and company should get to Case Keenum several times in this game and be able to win on both sides of the ball.

Pick: Texans

Rams vs Saints

Gurley vs Kamara, this should be an offensive shoot-out!! Which QB will make less mistakes? Who’s D-Line will cause more disruption? I believe the Rams have the edge on defense and will be ale to come into NOLA and cool off the red-hot Saints.

Pick: Rams

Packers vs Patriots

Give me the Packers! The Packers had a great chance to win last week but blew a lead and then the Ty Montgomery fumble sealed the loss for the Pack-attack. Their defense showed they can put some pressure on the QB and make some stops. But, I expect this to be a shoot-out and the Patriots defense is not as tough as the Rams and I think the Packers will win a big game on this road trip.

Pick: Packers

Cowboys vs Titans (Monday Night)

This is a must win for the Cowboys to prove to themselves and their fans that giving up a 1st rounder for Amari Cooper was the right move. Now I am not saying the pick will be judged on 1 game but the Cowboys are playing for the Division and with the Eagles signing Golden Tate and the Redskins essentially 3 games ahead right now (due to their win the other week) they must beat the staggering Titans at home on MNF!

Pick: Cowboys
