STEIN’s LINES – Saturday 2/9

Stein’s Lines is brought to you by Indiana Hoosier Zach Stein. This daily column features his daily gambling recommendations.

6-0 combined the last 2 nights with a late official second half win by the Sixers last night.

Amazing College Basketball game slate today (everyone please watch Duke Virginia even though I am not betting it because I really don’t know who will win).

Michigan -6.5 vs Wisconsin

Michigan’s 1st loss of the season came at Wisconsin and I imagine they are still pretty salty after that bad performance. Badgers are good, will probably keep it close most of the game with their pace, but expect Michigan to put this away in the final 2 minutes.

UNC -16.5 vs Miami

The other day I tweeted out that UNC is the hottest team in the country right now. Backing that up today because UNC has been blowing teams out lately and they now face a very poor Miami team.

Clemson -3 vs Virginia Tech

Not often you see an unranked team be favored by 3 points against the 11th ranked team in the nation. I believe Virginia Tech is very overrated. Recently when they have played a good team they lose. And their last 2 games are so uninspiring. Lost at home to Louisville by 8 and then that dumpster fire game against NC state when they won 47-24.  Clemson is back folks. Riding a nice 3 game win streak and have the opportunity to get a nice resume win at home.

St Johns -6.5 vs Providence

St Johns coming off  monster road win against #10 Marquette and are now rewarded with facing Providence at home on a 3 game losing streak.

Georgetown -2 vs Butler

I really enjoy watching Georgetown this year. Mac McClung is one of the better freshman in the nation that no one seems to be talking about. I think Butler is as mediocre as it gets this year and love seeing G-Town getting 2 here. I think they win this one easily.

Kentucky -4.5 @ Miss St

To be honest i know nothing about Miss St. But what I do know is that Kentucky has found its groove this year. They are on a 9 game winning streak and I don’t expect that to end today.

Iowa St -10.5 vs TCU
TCU hasn’t been playing good basketball for almost 2 months now. The Big 12 champ is up for grabs and Iowa St is very much in this. Riding a 4 game win streak i think they take advantage of facing this bad TCU team at home and get their 8th conf win in a big way.

LSU -2.5 vs Auburn

LSU has quietly been playing some very nice basketball as of late. Yes they just lost at home to Arkansas but still scored 89 points in that game. 13-2 in their last 15 games, at home against a team that has 1 win over a ranked team all year (vs Washington back in November) Like Georgetown I thought this spread would have been a couple more points larger.

Syracuse -10.5 vs Boston College

Cuse is coming off a home loss to ranked Florida St. Luckily this year Cuse wont be sweating out Selection Sunday as they have been quietly a really solid team this year and lets not forget that road win at Duke last month. They already beat BC in Boston by 6. Expect them to win easily at home.

Tennessee -11 vs Florida

I love this Tennessee team. Whole starting lineup contributes. Routinely crushes their opponents. They already won at Florida by 11 this year and going to complete the sweep by double digits.

Gonzaga -17 vs Saint Mary’s

Been waiting for Zags lines to drop under 20. They are just crushing their conference opponents right now.

Washington +1 and ML (Even) @ Arizona St

We hit the double win on Washington Thursday night and going to do it again as they finish off their 2 game leg of the Arizona schools.
